"Red's" in progress.
I began working on this series toward the end of 2024. Today, a new year, work resumes. The marks are memories of the hillside revealing Colorado slate along a hike with my family in Los Osos, CA.

Indian Yellow
I'm still into making monoprints, on gelli plates with luscious oil paint sticks mixed with medium to make my marks glide on the surface easily. Indian yellow's brilliant, semi-transparent, warm and arresting qualities make for a vibrant background.
Colors: Indian yellow, magenta earth, titanium zinc white, neutral gray, quinachridone magenta, provence blue.
