Current exhibitions: Domicile Gallery through October 17; Ryzo Wines through October 31. I have 8 artworks on display in a solo exhibition at Ryzo Wines in Twisp, WA and three pieces in a group show titled Lagniappe at Domicile Gallery in Seattle's Madison Park neighborhood. The sun was out and being in the outdoors in the PNW is my favorite time of the year. Studio time was sporadic - travel, friends, family and exhibitions all in line this summer. Now it's fall and this blog entry is past due. Here are a few finished paintings in a series of over a dozen new works I began this summer.

I began working on this series toward the end of 2024. Today, a new year, work resumes. The marks are memories of the hillside revealing Colorado slate along a hike with my family in Los Osos, CA.

Over Thanksgiving weekend, I delivered Presence - Untitled 1, 2, 3 and Untitled Study - Brown Pink. It will be a part of a group show called "Look Up" at the The Confluence Gallery - Art in Twisp, January through February 2026.

I'm still into making monoprints, on gelli plates with luscious oil paint sticks mixed with medium to make my marks glide on the surface easily. Indian yellow's brilliant, semi-transparent, warm and arresting qualities make for a vibrant background. Colors: Indian yellow, magenta earth, titanium zinc white, neutral gray, quinachridone magenta, provence blue.
